Phenibut (beta-phenyl-gamma-aminobutyric acid HCI) is one of the most popular nootropics on the market. It was created by the Soviet Union to help treat anxiety and enhance sleep.
I am a big fan of Phenibut because it helps me a lot in various situations. I’ve been experimenting with it for about half a year now. I mainly experience the following benefits when using it:
Most people mainly use it to help fight social anxiety. I have found it to be very effective at doing so. For me, it really helps take the edge off.
In a typical situation where I would feel nervous and anxious it helps me stay calm and relaxed. It doesn’t get you high or anything like that, it’s just a very calm feeling that helps you think clear.
But what I also like about Phenibut is that it gives me great concentration, focus and mental clarity. It’s very useful when I need to perform a lot of work.
Phenibut Dosage Information
The general phenibut dosage is anywhere from 500 to 2000mg per day.
If it’s your first time trying Phenibut, it’s advised to start out with a low dosage of just 250 to 500mg. More experienced users will use anywhere from 1000 to 15000mg per day.
Some might even go up 2000mg per day but this is considered a very high dosage. Do NOT take more than the maximum of 2 grams per day.
Everybody has a different tolerance to these compounds. You definitely don’t want to take too much if its your first time researching with this product.
If you don’t feel the effects you’re looking for you can slightly increase your dosage next time.
250 to 500mg
500mg to 1000mg
1000mg to 2000mg
When I took it for the first time, I made sure to only take 500mg. From here I gradually built up the dosage until I got the desired effects. My sweet spot is around 1 to 1,5 grams.
Always make sure to accurately weigh out your phenibut dosage. I can’t stress this enough, it’s very important to know how much you are taking.
How To Take Phenibut?
There are different ways you can take Phenibut. In my opinion, there is no ‘best’ way to take it.
It pretty much comes down to personal preference. For example, if you can’t stand the taste of Pheni it’s a good idea to use the capsules so that you don’t taste anything at all.
Let’s take a look at the most common ways on how to take phenibut.
A lot of users take pheni powder because it’s fast acting and usually a lot cheaper than capsules.
I’m also a big fan of taking powder because I don’t have to wait for the capsules to digest in my stomach.
There are different ways to take the powder.
You can choose the toss and wash method where you toss the dosage in your mouth and down it with a drink.
Or you can go with the stir and drink method. Simply drop your dosage in a beverage and stir until it fully dissolves. Once dissolved, you can drink it,
One of the most common ways to take Phenibut is through capsules. This way, you’ll avoid the sour after taste of the powder.
They are convenient and easy to take. You can simply swallow them with a beverage and wait for the effects to kick in. Another benefit of capsules is that you’ll know exactly how much you are taking. Most capsules contain roughly 500mg.
But capsules are usually a bit more expensive than regular powder. They can also take longer to kick in as the capsules have to fully digest first.
How Does A Phenibut High Feel?
Most of you probably wonder what a phenibut high feels like.
A lot of people describe the high as an euphoric and pleasant experience. I definitely agree with this as helped me with improving focus and concentration.
The most reported effects associated with a phenibut high are:
- Improved Focus
- Reduced Anxiety & Stress
- Concentration Boost
- More Energy
However, you can experience both good and bad sensations.
This is why I always tell my followers that the dosage is extremely important. When you take too much it can result in a bad experience. In that case you might experience headaches, fatigue and nausea.
I also want to add that you can quickly become tolerant to Phenibut which is why a lot of users decide to limit usage.
A lot of users will also combine it with Kratom but I personally think this is a bad idea.
How Long For Phenibut To Kick In?
It can take quite a while for Phenibut to kick in. Generally it can take anywhere from 2 to 3 hours for it to fully kick in.
I have also heard of people that had to wait roughly 3 to 4 hours to experience the effects.
There are a few factors which play a role in how long it takes to kick in. Those are:
- Method Of Consumption. There are multiple ways to take your dosage. When you take phenibut capsules, it will take a while for them to fully digest in the stomach. This means it will take longer to kick in.
When you take powder with water or juice, it’s usually a lot faster than consuming capsules.
- Tolerance. If you have built up a tolerance for this compound it will take longer for it to kick in.
Some users have reported that it took at least 4 hours for them to experience the effects of Phenibut.
- Empty Or Full Stomach. This one makes a world of difference for me personally. When I’ve had a large meal nootropics will take longer to kick in. Most users take Phenibut on an empty stomach because the effects will kick in faster.
If you aren’t feeling the effects even though you’ve waited for several hours the dosage might be too low. In this case you could try increasing it the next time you take it.
How Long Does Phenibut Last?
It’s hard to say exactly how long it will last.
But based on anecdotal experiences, phenibut seems to last anywhere from 4 to 6 hours.
Of course, you’ll find people that have different experiences where it lasts longer or perhaps even shorter. Generally most users experience the effects for around 4-6 hours.
However, some people might experience the effects for even longer than those 6 hours. I’ve seen reviews where people would still feel the effects until the next day.
Personally I found the effects to be present the next day. It’s like you can still somehow feel the effects for another day but much less stronger.
Phenibut Withdrawal Symptoms
When someone is dependant on Phenibut they can start to experience withdrawal symptoms once they stop using it. It can be very serious and some people have difficulty managing it.
Phenibut withdrawal symptoms may include fatigue, brain fog, hallucinations, dizziness and insomnia.
As I previously mentioned you can rapidly build up a tolerance for this substance. This is why you shouldn’t use it too often and make sure your dosage is appropriate.
Where To Buy Phenibut?
A lot of my followers ask me where to buy phenibut.
There are different places where you can purchase it. But based on my personal experience I highly suggest buying it from IceBlueCBD.
The reason I buy from them is because they have third-party results showing that the Phenibut is pure and legitimate.
It’s important to know that you are purchasing a good quality product.
